Then the horse returned with a herd of horses. The neighbors all said, "Oh, you're so lucky." The man said, "We'll see."
One day the man's son broke his leg trying to train one of the horses. The neighbors all said, "Oh, that's too bad." The man said, "We'll see."
Later, the army came through and conscripted all the village's young men. They left the broken legged son. The neighbors all said, "Oh, you're so lucky." The man said, "We'll see."
...and so the story continues.
Last October, C.L. Fornari started the campaign entitled "You Can Grow That." Bloggers were invited to post on the fourth of each month and to write about any aspect of horticulture. Each month additional bloggers have posted. And that seemed good...
In July, C.L. learned the company owning Scott's Miracle Gro had just trademarked the name and slogan! After seeking legal advice, C.L. chose to retire the phrase. This does not seem good.
However, as our rural horse-owning man knows, things have a way of evolving.
In the next few months, a new phrase will germinate. When the timing is right, a new slogan will emerge. I'm sure even more bloggers will post and the groundswell will be bigger and better.
I'm sure that will be a good thing. We'll see...
